About a month into the season and the points race is still very tight. There is only 3 points separating the top 3 teams and only 6 points separating the top 5 teams which means every game has a profound effect on the outcome of the regular season standings. Although Sport Chek is still undefeated so much can change with even one loss.
On Sunday this week Milli Rock FC took the game to Sport Chek and showed that although they are currently sitting in 6th place in the league they have the potential to beat anyone in the league. Each team has some tough games coming up in the schedule before the Christmas break which occurs after Dec 11th. Some games to look out for before the Christmas Break:
Dec 4th
1) 1pm Ruscio Sault Fire vs Milli Rock FC
A win from Milli Rock FC would put them into the mix for talks about being able to take first place. This is a pivotal game for both teams as a loss for either team would have a significant impact long term reaching first place.
2) 2pm Croatia vs PSC
This battle is a must for PSC. With a loss to Sport Chek last week a win against Croatia would put them back right back into contingency however a loss would put them in a hole that would be difficult to rally from.
Dec 11th
1) Milli Rock FC vs PSC
This will be a action packed game that will leave the winner with momentum going in to the Christmas Break. Both teams need a win here.....
